[Mapserver-users] Any way to have the extent set to the MBR of a layer?

There is no way to do it out of the box, but you can write a function to 
do it using MapScript. This function could either scan the layer to 
compute the extents or read the extent value from metadata that would be 
previously set in the mapfile.
