[Mapserver-west] Yet another introduction

Hello all,
I am a GIS/IT Specialist working for the Coast Guard in the Bay area. I
am evaluating several options to a WMS/WFS server. I am new to the whole
server thing and have a lot to learn. I am stuck right now working on
the data model but will soon be back to the map server choices. 
I like the idea of people networking and introducing themselves and the
projects their working on. 
Hopefully there will be some more conversation from us West Coasters. If
there is anyone working on telecom and data network inventory mapping
please feel free to give a shout, I'd like to talk...
