introductory thoughts around my interests w.r.t.
MapServer:</SPAN></FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2><SPAN class=866233519-15032005>I think MapServer,
PostGIS together make a terrific combination. And with GDAL/OGR -- you have a
triad of technologies that could be the "infrastructure" for a very powerful
web-centric GIS system. I think of them as the engine, transmission system
equivalents of a vehicle -- with the challenge being to build a good user
interface -- i.e. a dashboard -- on top of them, so people can drive --
spatially -- where they need to go. </SPAN></FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2><SPAN class=866233519-15032005>My interests tend to
focus on the query/analytical side -- i.e. how can these tools be packaged so
they are simple enough to operate by planners for developing and visualizing
management scenarios -- where those scenarios have a strong spatial component,
and the data can be stored in PostGIS either as individual unlinked tables, or
as a proper schema.</SPAN></FONT></DIV>
