<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">I have MapServer installed and created a demonstration based on the G-Map Demonstration made by DM Solutions. I modified the code for my dataset and looking at adding DB input next. I also installed PostGIS. A lot of this was done the simple way (maybe a little long and tedious), but I went through the code and made the modifications in NotePad or WordPad to fit my dataset. I rebuilt the MAP file as well.</FONT></P>


<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">The install of MS4W does not include MapLab. When I downloaded the MapLab from Maptools.org, it said most of the tools were installed with MapServer. They do not appear present. I wanted to do some edits to the MAP file and was under the impression that MapLab would aid me here.</FONT></P>


<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">Is it worth installing? Do you recommend something better? What other tools should we use? On the PHP side, we should be able to incorporate Smarty with PHP/Mapscript? No? What development tools do you guys use?</FONT></P>
