It is theoretically possible that you could set up IIS to use the bundled php and various CGI programs, and map directories to the installed applications, but you would then be missing the point of this installer, I think. We do not have any short term intention of supporting IIS in this manner. However, we have discussed this as a possibility for future work, so keep you eyes open. I will check the ms4w installer and see if there is a problem with it, but we have been using this for a while. One possibility, you mentioned IIS. Is it possible that you have IIS and Apache running at the same time? The default configuration for both is to listen on port 80, but that can be changed if necessary. Another possibility: are you leaving the empty window open, or closing it? You will need to leave it open, or install Apache as a service as indicated in the README.txt file. I turned this off ISS was uninstalled from the computer and version ms4w_0.7.zip was downloaded and installed. I tried http://localhost/ again with Windows Explorer and got a blank browser screen and the progress bar of the browser slowly moving to timeout. I have seen no messages in the apache box. The error means exactly what it says, mapserver has a parsing error near the value NAME on line 83 of your map file. The remaining errors are from parts of maplab that do not gracefully handle errors coming out of mapserver. I would suggest that you resend this on the mapserver-users list and attach/embed your map file for reference. You should be able to enter the following URL to see a CWC2 application: http://localhost/cwc2/cwc2.php?template=cwc2/htdocs/demo.html The CWC2 Service Instance link is not meant to be clickable - it just shows you the base URL at which CWC2 is installed. Demo.html is just a sample template. CWC2 uses templates to render the application interface. The complete URL for a CWC2 application points at the service instance (http://localhost/cwc2/cwc2.php) and optionally provides a template and a context. This is done by passing two parameters, template and context, on the URL to cwc2.php. I say optionally because the administrator can set default template and context values that will be used if cwc2.php is called with no extra parameters. I can't get to the maplab app through the main ms4w web page on my installation. The alias /maplab/ is pointing to the maplab-2.1 folder, whereas I have 3.0. I see two different conf files: /ms4w/httpd.d/httpd_maplab3.conf /ms4w/httpd.d/httpd_maplab.conf It appears that the latter file gets read or overrides the aliases in the former. But the aliases in the former are what I need. I can manually fix this but I send it out to you FYI.
