Hi,
I'm trying to install the kamap CVS version on a working ms4w
installation from Sept 2005, and test it using a working Gmap for
ms4w.
My problem is that while the Kamap application seems to be
initializing, it seems to be unable to write any image tiles to the
tmp directory. What I don't quite understand is why kamap can
successfully create all the directories it needs, but is unable to
write images within them. Gmap itself has no problem writing it's
images to the same tmp directory of tmp/ms_tmp/
so for example the kacache directory is :
../../../tmp/ms_tmp/kacache/
and kamap can create all the needed subdirectories. but when images
are needed, there are errors like this:
Warning: [MapServer Error]: msSaveImageGD(): Unable to open file
../../../tmp/ms_tmp/kacache/gmap//15000000/Foreign_Lands/def/t-1000l-1000/meta/t-1010l-1010.png
for writing in D:\ms4w\apps\kamap_cvs\htdocs\tile.php on line 193
Fatal error: Failed writing image to
../../../tmp/ms_tmp/kacache/gmap//15000000/Foreign_Lands/def/t-1000l-1000/meta/t-1010l-1010.png
in D:\ms4w\apps\kamap_cvs\htdocs\tile.php on line 193
I'm not sure where to look within ms4w to figure this out, is is a
permissions problem?
thanks for any ideas,
Tanya
