[ms4w-users] iconv library

Toni,

I'm not an iconv expert, but you are correct that php-4.4.3-dev in ms4w 
1.5.x does not include the php_iconv.dll extension.  I just checked a 
July 26th snapshot of 4-4.x and the extension IS included.  So my 
thinking is that upgrading to a recent snapshot might solve your 
problem.  (apparently iconv is included in php5 by default, and I also 
tried one of those iconv functions with ms4w 1.5.5 but failed)
I've filed a bug in MS4W for this for the next release 
(http://bugzilla.maptools.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1536).  You can add 
yourself to the CC list, and add comments if you find any more details 
about this.

If you can also provide a test script in that bug that would be very 
helpful.
