[ms4w-users] apache does not start (ms4w/Apache/conf/httpd.conf)

Hi All,

I tried to install the ms4w package on my xp system yesterday.
The problem is that the apache does not start.

Here I'm sending you the original text from the command line:

C:\ms4w>apache-install.bat
Installing the Apache MS4W Web Server service
The Apache MS4W Web Server service is successfully installed.
Testing httpd.conf....
Errors reported here must be corrected before the service can be  
started.

Part of it is in german so that I will summarize it for you:

"Diese Anwendung konnte nicht gestartet werden, weil die  
Anwenungskonfiguration nicht korrekt ist.
  Zur Problembehebung sollten Sie die Anwendung neu installieren.
Apache MS4W Web Server wird gestartet.
Apache MS4W Web Server konnte nicht gestartet werden."

This application could not be started because the application- 
configuration is not correct.
Please install the app ones again to solve the problem.
Apache MS4W Web Server is starting.
Apache MS4W Web Server could not be started


The problem is supposed to be the syntax error in this file:
httpd: Syntax error on line 127 of C:/ms4w/Apache/conf/httpd.conf:  
Cannot load C
:/ms4w/Apache/modules/mod_fcgid.so into server:

I tried to open it but could not really read it or edit it.
.

I reinstalled the package and also tried to install it with the .exe  
file available on the ms4w page.
Nothing changed!

Does someone have an idea how to help?

It would be nice if some having the package working under Windows XP  
and installed directly
under C could send me this config file so that I can simply try to  
replace it first of all.
