Hello,

Yes ECW support in MS4W was removed in the version 3.0 beta process, due
to the many changes in the licensing. A history of the ECW/MS4W process
is recorded through the ticket:
http://bugzilla.maptools.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2037 Another recent
discussion of the licensing changes occurred on the GDAL mailing list:
http://osgeo-org.1803224.n2.nabble.com/gdal-dev-ERDAS-ECW-JPEG2000-SDK-v4-1-td5475320.html

With all that said, if you require a custom build of MS4W with ECW
support, and you meet all of those licensing requirements (you can
download the SDK and read the licensing at:
http://www.erdas.com/products/ERDASECWJPEG2000SDK/Downloads.aspx),
please contact me directly and we can move forward with that.

Thanks.

-jeff
