[MS4W-Users] Upgrading Apache and PHP

Hi,
I'm running the latest Released version of MS4W on one server, and the Dev version w/MapCache  on another server.  Now our security scans are pointing to Apache and PHP as vulnerabilities.  Is it possible to upgrade Apache, and PHP to the latest version without breaking Mapserver and/or Mapcache?  Are there any instructions for doing this?  Would we be better off trying to build everything from scratch?
