equivalent to a MapInfo Workspace (WOR file). It defines the layers,
symbology, etc.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

MapInfo Tables (this is the TAB, ID, IND, DAT, and MAP files) using OGR (see <a

for more details). I found the to be slow, so I convert my MapInfo data
to ESRI Shape Files. This can be done with the Universal Translator
included with MapInfo Pro, or with the OGR tools included with MS4W, or I use
Safe FME. All of these can be run from a batch file or command line.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
