by url.  See for example, bbox at this link <a href="http://mapserver.org/es/ogc/wms_server.html?highlight=BBOX">http://mapserver.org/es/ogc/wms_server.html?highlight=BBOX</a>  There are some others listed there, but generally, I think that MapServer implements all those required by the WMS spec.<br>
