Herstmonceux Castle is in Herstmonceux, Sussex (50.9N 0.3E), which is
about 70 miles from Greenwich, London (51.5N, 0.0E).

The Royal Observatory was originally in Greenwich; it moved to
Herstmonceux shortly after WW2, but the meridian stayed put.
