[Proj] Command line conversion problem

Trying to convert NAD27 DD.DDDDD to WGS84 UTM

I use:

cs2cs +init=epsg:26711 +to +init=epsg:32611 

Trying to convert 38.1703 -119.7385 and all I can get out is "*       *
0.00", I should get 260102E 4228255N

I'm goofing something up, hoping it's simple and someone can quickly
point me in the right direction
