[Proj] Jacobian of transformation

Hi!

I would like to know how much the coordinates of a point in one system 
will change
if I change its coordinates in another system.
Therefore I need the Jacobian dx_i/dy_j.
Can you please tell me if there is a Proj subroutine that gives the 
Jacobian?
If there is no routine that gives it already, is there a better way of 
estimating it
than via finite differences myself?
