Save the Date - AutoCarto 2010  - November 15-19, 2010



AutoCarto 2010
 
Save the Date!  Sponsored by the Cartography and Geographic Information 
Society (CaGIS), AutoCarto 2010 will take place November 15-19, 2010 in 
Orlando, Florida.  The 18th in the series, this international research 
symposium on computer-based cartography and GIScience will be held in 
conjunction with the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote 
Sensing and the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote 
Sensing Technical Commission IV: Geodatabases and Digital Mapping.
 
The focus of this joint meeting is Geospatial Data and Geovisualization 
for the Environments, Security, and Society.  The International 
Cartographic Association will also hold a number of its commission 
meetings here.  Additionally, a number of workshops will be offered.
 
As is customary, selected papers from the symposium will be published in a 
special issue of the Cartography and Geographic Information Science 
Journal ? it will be slated for April 2011.  Look for the AutoCarto 2010 
Call for Papers and Posters around December 2009.
 
The meeting site is the Doubletree Hotel, located at the entrance to
