[Shapelib] shapelib

Hello, 
I try to use shpcreate  and shpadd to create a shapefile  XXX. The creation work fine but when I try to open it with Arc Info I have an error message Could not open shapefile XXX. I recompile the procedures using makefile.vc and I still have the same problem.

Could someone give me a hint ??
