Marc-André,

I don't know if "limitation" is the right word for what you want to do.

TinyOWS was created to support the WFS transactions (WFS-T), not to publish another OGC services like WMS or WCS.

Maybe you're confused because TinyOWS can parse MAP files to configure a WFS-T service publication, but this doesn't means that you can publish 
OGC services as Mapserver does.

if i refer to the web page (http://tinyows.org/trac/wiki/MapFileConfigFile) :
1- Only PostGIS CONNECTIONTYPE are handled
2- Each CONNECTION string value in layers must be the same. 

is it the first or the second limitation that cause problem ?
