Hi,
We have a purely java report writing app that contains queries, data entry forms etc and an embedded xml datafile to store all the collected data. I am trying to understand the best way to link with Cartoweb so when a user initiates a query we can return a map showing the geocoded locations returned by the query.
So I guess my question is in 2.5 parts: Do we need a Javascript piece that interperts PHP so Cartoweb can talk to the java app, or does the HTML_javascript.php package all that is needed? ( sorry for the dumb question, I am not the programmer- just the GIS guy who wants to know how it works!)
secondly, I assume the proper place to write the interface is as a Cartoweb Project file? and if so, is the plug-in idea limited to internal cartoweb functionality??
thanks
