[Cartoweb-users] CW 3.3 problem

Hi Oliver,

My apologies for not being more specific:

The JSTracer log was intentional because CW3 on my web machine does
something crazy. It loads the template layout proper, but dies with a
message "error on page" in IE before it displays any layers in the map
frame. From thereon it practically hangs. In order to get some idea on
what happens I activated the "development" mode for both, server and
client. That's why the JSTracer log.

The last message

AjaxHandler.attachAction(): Attaching action:Location.Pan to element
id:keymap...

Warning: element keymap does not exist!

I hope makes sense to you. I am not up to these kind of intricacies at
this stage of playing with CW3.

Another clue, this happens with all three projects I try to establish
for my teaching. That seems to indicate that there is something wrong in
the project independent part of CW3. I tried to verify that with the
suspicion of some problem in the template files by renaming the template
folder in the project to something else. Yes, the template loaded as the
CW3 default template layout, but again the same problem: JSTracer points
to the same message and no display in the map area and CW3 hangs. Does
this ring a bell?

I also reinstalled CW3 from cartoweb-setup-3.3.0.exe; no change in the
behaviour.

By the way, FireFox does the same thing.

The same projects work fine on my second development and testing
machine. So, I am a bit stumped.

Cheers, Gerd
