nope. I checked my Apache error log file and nothing.

how is you "chameleon_beta_admin" defined in your Apache config?
In ms4w is defined as:

Alias /chameleon/admin "/ms4w/apps/chameleon/admin/htdocs"
<Directory "/ms4w/apps/chameleon/admin/htdocs/">
  AllowOverride None
  Options Indexes FollowSymLinks Multiviews 
  Order allow,deny
  Allow from all
</Directory>
