When an application changes its projection, the ROI is not reprojected. The
session variable ROIRENDERER still has the old coordinates.

I think one the following 2 options should be done:
1) invalidate the current ROI and reset the ROIRENDERER session variable
2) reproject ROIs

Ofcourse 2) will be a lot harder than 1).
