[Chameleon] Is there a widget for displaying point data on a map?

Ken,

there isn't anything in there yet.  This is one of those things that 
turns out to be quite customized to a particular application and no 
generic solution has jumped out yet.

Re the query, that would probably be better asked on the mapserver list. 
  In my view of the world, I would probably put the points into some 
sort of shapefile or database and use that as the source for the layer, 
so just making the layer queryable would do the trick.
