Gail,
Yes, Chameleon/MapServer works very well under Win2K3 IIS5/6!
A couple of things to try ...
1) When you run your phpinfo() script try dl'ing the PHP/MapScript
extension:
<?php
// Note that php_mapscript.dll may be php_mapscript_VERSION.dll
dl( 'php_mapscript.dll' );
phpinfo();
?>
Does the info page have an entry for MapScript? If so then you have
correctly installed MapScript and it's dependencies. If not you should
see an error msg.
2) Assuming 1) works, have you mapped both php and phtml extensions to
be executed by php.exe? This needs to be done for your chameleon and
samples virtual directories.
As a side note ... I have encountered 404 errors with IIS6 in the past
because PHP wasn't allowed to be run as a web service extension. You
must explicitly allow the PHP CGI -or- ALL Unknown CGI's to run.
Considering you already have PHP scripts executing this isn't an issue
for your installation.
Let me know if the above sheds any light on your situation ... if not
then at least we've narrowed down the potential problem a bit and can go
from there.
