[Chameleon] Add point data to database

Also, have a look at the MapNotes widget for a start, which does a similar
thing but writes a shapefile.

We have something here that does something like this, but I can't really 
share it since it's very very client specific so it would not help much. 
But that means that what you want is possible. You can start by looking 
at the Widget development guide.
