Hi
I am a new (potentially) user thinking of installing chameleon on a Ubuntu
Dapper server. We have an existing mapping application running
mapscript, postgis and php5 all installed through apt.
Looking throught the install guide i came across this ->

Extract the chameleon_[VERSION].tar.gz file on the server. These
instructions are written as if this was in /opt/. This creates a
chameleon_[VERSION] directory. Rename it to be chameleon/. You should have
the following subdirectories:

    chameleon/
    chameleon/config
    chameleon/data
    chameleon/htdocs
    chameleon/htdocs/common
    chameleon/htdocs/images
    chameleon/htdocs/widgets

when i extracted the tar (2.4) I found the directory structure of:

    chameleon/
    chameleon/admin
    chameleon/config
    chameleon/cwc2
    chameleon/docs
    chameleon/etc
    chameleon/htdocs
    chameleon/htdocs_admin
    chameleon/samples
    chameleon/utils

later in the install docs it says:
Make sure directory chameleon/data is writable by the Web user. This is
where cached capabilities and other temporary information are stored for
the duration of a user's session.

Is there some info i have missed about the new structure or some link to
recent docs?.Perhaps 2.4 is not yet stable in a Linux environment and i
should go with 2.2? i dunno...
Any advice/help would be great
[]'s
Ian
