[Chameleon] Adding points to a map

Hi,

There were several posts regarding this topic but I'll ask anyway. 

I would like to be able to add/edit a point features interactively on
the map. So, click onto the map, enter some additional attributes and
save it in a shapefile or PostgreSQL database. I know this can be done
by doing some development (maybe use some part of MapNotes widget), I am
just interested if someone has already done soemthing similar so I can
start from "something".
