[Chameleon] QueryByRectangle question

Hi,

I have seen in Query widget documentation there is ALLOWRECTANGLE attribute
that should enable rectangle mode queries. As I can see it is not supported
yet. 

Is there anyone using this type of query? I would like to draw a box (like
when zooming in) and get the query results on all the selected objects (but
only on layers that are turned on or previously selected for querying by
some other method if possible).

I would appreciate any informations that could help me.
