[Chameleon] Client side editing?

Greetings,

Is there a way to be able to edit shapfiles from the client side, wether it
be geometry or attributes? Or a functionality to add new features whether by
coordinates or interactively? I haven't been able to find any recent posts
about this type of functionality.
