with Fedora Core 4, you need to install compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.fc4.i386.rpm

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/4/i386/os/Fedora/RPMS/compat-
libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.fc4.i386.rpm
