[FGS] Uninstalling an FGS package

This gets stranger. In desperation I tried installing expat from 
expat-devel-1.95.8-6.i386.rpm, deleting my fgs directory, and 
re-installing. Now I'm back to httpd not finding libfontconfig.so.1 
(it's still there in /usr/lib).

I cannot see where to go next with this.
