I guess you're on Centos. Some users report similar problem. I'll put an 
effort to check that soon.

You're right about the dependency. Since the ming options is enabled by 
hand it doesn't appear by default in the base.required file. I should 
add a mechanism to handle such case.

It seems a good idea. I prepare a copy of the vm in its actual state and 
put it on our ftp site. I'll send you the download link this afternoon.
