[FWTools] ogr2ogr with MySQL

You mean "another OGR tool" as another distribution for Windows?
MS4W package includes OGR so you may try it as a test:

http://www.maptools.org/ms4w/

You can also build GDAL yourself, ie. using
free Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition.

However, I'm curious why OGR from FWTools does not work for you.
If I won't forget, during the weekend, I'll try to test FWTools on
my Windows XP machine.
