[FWTools] Blue Screen of Death Using Windows 1.3.8?

Hi,

I'm using FWTools 1.3.8 on Windows XP Pro?  When I try to open large
image files (~15-20GB) I get the Windows "Blue Screen of Death".  The
images I usually try to open are Imagine .img files created with
FWTools.  They do have pyramid layers.

Anything I can do to avoid this problem?
