[FWTools] OpenEV_FW crashes on opening HDF5 file (HDF5 library version 1.6.5)

Hi all,

New user running a OpenEV_FW 1.8 (part of the FWTools 2.2.1 download) 
and getting the following application crash error when opening a HDF5 file:
Runtime Error!, Program: C:\PROGRA~1\FWTOOL~1.1\python\pythonw.exe

Is this application supposed to be opening file created using HDF5 library 
version 1.6.5?
