[FWTools] GDAL hanging under Windows 2008 Server

Stephen,

Do you have information about which function is hanging? Could you provide
your test data? I'm not sure about how the SharpMap GDAL connector is
currently working but I could probably write an equivalent test case to
reproduce it.
