[FWTools] GDAL 1.6.1

I'm getting the following error message when converting some S57 files
with my current build of ogr2ogr (GDAL 1.6.1). 
 
 
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
 
 
I am converting an input S57 file to an output SQLITE file.
 
Can anyone please help or provide suggestions?
