per comment in kaQuery.js, onmouseout is "called when the mouse leaves
theInsideLayer.  Terminate the query". However, when the mouse leaves the
canvas, the query is not terminated and if the mouse is released while the
cursor is outside the canvas, Javascript errors occur when the mouse moves back
into the canvas and further querying is attempted. 

Suspect that the condition "e.target.id == this.kaMap.domObj.id" is never true.
