[ka-Map-users] continuous zoom

On July 20th, Paul Spencer threw out the following tantalizing idea:

I have long thought that continuous zoom would significantly improve
the user experience, and that scaling the pre-tiled images by the
client is the way to go.  Has anyone been working on this feature?
