[ka-Map-users] control class visibility

Hi,

Is it possible to turn individual classes within a layer on  and off, or do I have to create a separate layer for each class in order to control its visibility?
What I'd like to do is query postgis which will return a layer with about 10 classes and then use checkboxes on the client to toggle the classes on and off.
