[ka-Map-users] Has anyone written a installation checker?

I think this would be a great idea. I had it in mind to do one, but just 
haven't had time to get to it. Some thing you might want to check and 
report on are:

php modules needed and installed/not installed and version
paths configured and paths that exist and their file permissions
you might want to pull an arbitrary tile as an image to verify that this 
works.
