Hi Paul,
with Lorenzo we have just finished to develop a WFS point client.

Really this application is intended as a simple way to publish points
related information using a WFS server (gml) .
Characteristics:
1) WFS connection server managed  (GetCapabilities GetFeature).
2) User is able to request different projection for wfs points (EPSG).
3) Universal tooltip: Features attribute are dynamically loaded on mouseover
event.

Comments and suggestions are welcome!
If anybody is interested we will commit in public cvs.
