This is maybe more of a Mapserver question than Ka-map, but if you have the
demo up and running, it shouldn't be too hard to customize it with your own
data.  Have you run across this tutorial by Tyler Mitchell?

This article gives a nice overview of all the components that go into
displaying a map in Ka-map.  It uses an older version of ka-map but the
structure is basically all the same.  If you are new to Mapserver and
looking for a place to start, I also highly recommend Tyler Mitchell's book,
Web Mapping Illustrated.  It's easy to read and breaks down the utilities
and components of Mapserver into easy to digest pieces.  It also gives the
anatomy of a map file so you can more easily take an existing demonstration
map and customize it with your own data.

Without knowing more about your specific project, it's hard to offer advice
on how to edit your files, but if you go through the tutorial and still have
