[ka-Map-users] Linux Install

Hello everyone I am having difficulty installing  my application in Linux , I am testing in Ubuntu 7.10. I have compiled and installed mapserver 5.0, when I try my MapFile directly with the cgi its works find Eg:http://javuntu.inworksol.local/cgi-bin/mapserv?mode=map&mapsize=800+600&map=/home/javier/ka-map-1.0/map/cuenca.map&LAYERS=allBut when I run the ka.map application is not drawn the map. I reviewed my map file and deleted these lines of a layer                   MAXSCALEDENOM 5000                   MINSCALEDENOM 0 It worked! Why not supported Syntax of mapserver5.0? PD: the same ka-map application are running well  under in windows with ms4w 
 

I am not familiar with Linux, can anyone help me with the steps I follow to install everything correctly under linux? 
I need some like the ms4w configuration
