No projection object specified in the tutorial.map

I opened the tutorial.map map into MapEdit and the keymap didn't appear. 
MapServer reports that there is no projection specified.

I added the following definition:

  PROJECTION
    "init=epsg:42304"
  END

and the map is loaded properly.



The php error log file displayed the following:
