[maplab-users] strange behaviour in MapLab2.0rc3Tweedy, Scott sctweedy@NRCan.gc.caWed, 26 Feb 2003 11:53:07 -0500

I'm currently using: PHP 4.3.1 MapServer 3.6.4 MapScript 3.6 on a server just upgraded to Win2000 and IIS5.0 My question has to do with different behaviour between MapLab2.0rc2 and 2.0rc3. I had installed rc2 and everything works fine. When I tried to upgrade to rc3 I ran into strange behaviour with MapLab. I've checked all the XML files and they are identical. In Netscape (4.79, I know it's old) when I try to open a Mapfile or create a new Mapfile a new window opens simply containing the error message "The parameter is incorrect". The behaviour in IE is even more bizarre. If I click on the icon used to create a new Mapfile the dialog window comes up (I've included it to show). As you can see in the bottom right corner, I get two different "Cancel" icons instead of an "OK" icon and a "Cancel" icon. When I try to navigate using the window the behaviour is odd. If navigate forward, I only seem to be able to go one step. If the directory I navigate to contains other directories then clicking them brings me back to the original directory. If the directory I navigate to doesn't contain any other directories, I get stuck there (clicking on the ".." link brings doesn't change anything, the link seems to be "broken". If I click on the icon used to open an existing Mapfile the dialog window comes up fine. Navigation issues are similar to the ones mentioned above, navigation seems to only let me go one level deep into the directory structure. If I type the name of a Mapfile into the File Name box the file opens fine though. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great. Otherwise I can still keep using release candidate 2, because none of these issues exist for me in rc2. Thanks in advance, st
