After speaking with the original Mapbrowser developer, it seems I was  
wrong about this; the url in Manager Servers is only used to get the  
capabilities from the server. Afterwards Mapbrowser will use the url  
that the server is advertising and it won't work with your proxy. Short  
of editing the dbf file in mapbrowser's data directory yourself, you  
won't be able to use a proxy.
