[maplab-users] rosa problems with different jvms

Apologies in advance if this is resurrecting an old problem, but I have found that the rosa applet (the most recent one) only works with the standard microsoft jvm that comes in Internet Explorer 6, and not the Sun jvm (v1.4.2 I think). I remember reading something about this a while ago when I first got the problem (no map displaying) but couldn't find it again now when I looked. The weird thing is, that it seems to work with either jvm in mapbrowser and the mapedit preview, but not gmapfactory. I was going to submit this as a bug as it makes it quite difficult to deploy the map if you don't know which version of the jvm is being used, but thought I'd check with the list first. Does anyone have a workaround for this?
