[Mapserver-users] surface

Hi, the list.

I am wondering weither MapServer know how to
calculate the surface of a polygon or not.

I searched the list, but I found old messages
telling it doesn't.

Is there a new version of MapServer - PHP - 
MapScript that does ? (I am using phpMapscript
version 3.6.2).  Does it ?  If not, does the 
latest version do it ?

If not, it should, as it's a kind of basic
thing one could expect from a GIS.
