[Mapserver-users] Mapscript: Perl v PHP

Hi all-

I was just looking through the functionality lists for mapscript, both PHP
and Perl.  Presently, it appears that Perl is the more robust of the two.

Is this the case?  If no:

What are the strengths of one versus the other?
Aside from language preference why would/should I use one versus the other?

If yes:

Is the intent to provide equal functionality in both versions (within
constraints of each respective language)?
